What skill level do I need to be to book a shoot?
Any level. Full stop. You do not need to be competing, performing professionally, or hitting advanced tricks to deserve beautiful photos of your practice. Whether you're six months in and just nailed your first climb, or you've been on the pole for years — your journey is worth documenting. Some of my favorite shots are of people doing things that feel small to them and look absolutely powerful through a lens. Book the shoot.
What should I wear for a pole or lyra shoot?
Wear what makes you feel most like yourself as an artist. Most pole and aerial artists shoot in pole shorts and a sports bra or bodysuit — and for good reason, your lines and muscle definition are part of the story. That said, if you have a costume, a favorite performance outfit, or something that feels more "you," bring it. I'd actually recommend bringing two looks so we have options. One practical note: avoid anything with heavy rhinestones or patterns that might distract from your lines in photos.
I'm nervous about being photographed doing something so vulnerablE. how do you make clients comfortable?
This question means everything to me because I get it. Pole and aerial arts involve your body, your strength, your artistry, and a whole lot of trust — and pointing a camera at that can feel incredibly exposing. Here's what I want you to know: I'm not here to catch you looking awkward or make you feel like a subject. I'm here because I genuinely believe what you do is beautiful and I want to help you see yourself the way the people watching you do. We go at your pace, we laugh a lot, and you have full say over what gets delivered. Nothing goes anywhere without your approval. You're safe here.
