What should I wear / how do I prepare for my session?

Honestly? Wear something that makes you feel like yourself, not your "interview self" or your "fancy event self," just you. Solid colors and simple patterns tend to photograph beautifully, and layers give us options if we want to switch things up mid-shoot. I always recommend bringing two or three outfit options so we can play around. As for prep: get a good night's sleep, do whatever makes you feel confident that morning, and try to minimize alcohol the evening before. I'll handle the rest. Oh, and hydrate. 

Do you shoot indoors, outdoors, or both?

Both! NYC is basically one giant gorgeous backdrop, so a lot of my sessions happen outdoors; parks, streets, rooftops, wherever fits your vibe. That said, I also shoot in studio spaces for headshots and more controlled lighting setups, or even in select indoor spaces. When you book, we'll chat about what environment feels right for you and what look you're going for. No wrong answer here.

Can I bring a friend or partner to my session?

100% yes, bring your hype person! Having someone there who makes you laugh and feel comfortable can genuinely make a huge difference in how relaxed you look on camera. The only thing I'd say is no more than one hype person; more than that, and it can distract from your shoot. This day is all about you!

What if I'm not photogenic or hate being on camera?

First of all, you are. I promise. "I'm not photogenic" usually just means nobody has ever made you feel comfortable enough to be yourself in front of a camera. That's literally my job. I'll guide you through posing, keep things moving so there's no awkward standing around, and there will probably be some laughter involved.
